Police has paraded nine notorious and vicious suspects arrested for kidnapping, cattle rustling, armed robbery and rape by the force public relations officer at the force headquarters, abuja. 16th december, 2018.
The exhibits discovered are Two AK47 Rifles, Thirty Rounds of ammunition and One pair of suspected fake military uniform. Police has said Abubakar Ado (aka Sumaye), age 31yrs, of kukar samu village, safana LGA, Katsina State,confessed to have purchased AK47 rifle at the sum of Seven Hundred thousand (N700,000.00) and have used it with his gang for several kidnappings and collection of ransom, and rustled hundreds of cattle in Katsina State.
While Muhammadu Murtala, age 20years of Malamai village, Danmusa LGA, Katsina State, confessed to be in possession of two AK47 rifles which he purchased from one Alh. Nashama. That he confessed to have gang raped a woman along with three of his gang members and also a member of armed bandit
Another gang member, Idris Usman age 20years of Mara village, Danmusa LGA, Katsina State, confessed to be an armed robber/cattle rustler for about three years. 200 cattle were recovered from him

In a related development, Police has said John Azashachia age 26 years Katsina-Ala Benue State, Jacob Aondonnes ‘m’ age 30 years, Tyan Denis age 27 years , Sango Vincent age 34 years, Sony Jatto at large are suspects who terrorised travelled from Katsina-ala LGA to Makurdi, Benue State were arrested in a hotel in Makurdi while preparing to rob and kidnap people in a filling station in Makurdi.
The leader of the gang john Azashachia age 26 years from katsina-ala, benue state, confessed to have engaged in several kidnappings and armed robbery in the recent time. His gang according to him were responsible for the kidnap of two women which include the wife of a retired judge. The two women were killed and their corpses dumped in a river after collection of One Million, Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N1,200,000) from their family.
Investigation is being intensified to arrest other members of the gang still at large. All the suspects in the two cases confessed to the crime and have admitted to various criminal roles they played in the commission of the crime. They will be charged to court on completion of investigation, Police said.
